What Is Vampire Music?
It is difficult to say what exactly vampire music is. Is it music that normal people think vampires would listen to? Is it music that reminds people of vampires? Is it songs about vampires or vampire activity?
The English Gothic rock band, Nosferatu, formed in March 1988. The original band members included Damien DeVille, Vlad Janicek, and Sapphire Aurora. Their group is considered one of the most successful second wave Gothic rock groups in the world. Their band has received success on both UK and Germany charts, selling over 100,000 copies of their music world-wide. The band has had numerous changes over the years, and Damien DeVille is the only member to have been in the band through the entire 19 year history. They are a good example of what ‘Vampire Music’ could be considered.
Others may look to the soundtrack of Vampire-themed movies to find their “Vampire Music”. Van Helsing, Blade, Blade II, Blade: Trinity, The Lost Boys, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, From Dusk Till Dawn, From Dusk Till Dawn 2: Texas Blood Money, From Dusk Till Dawn 3: The Hangman’s Daughter, Bordello of Blood, Underworld, Underworld: Evolution, Underworld: Rise of the Lycans, BloodRayne, BloodRayne II: Deliverance, 30 Days of Night, I am Legend, Twilight, and many, many more movies. The soundtracks from these movies can provide some great music for a vampire-themed game or just music for you to use.
